Adult Mental Health Virtual IOP Program

Adult Mental Health Virtual IOP Program

River Oaks Hospital is pleased to now offer an Intensive Outpatient Program for those unable to commit to in person treatment, and are seeking a higher level of care as compared to one on one therapy but still do not need an inpatient level of care.

Our Adult Psych Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers group therapy to individuals experiencing increased challenges with mental health struggles such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders and many others with the flexibility of therapy from home.

Our virtual intensive outpatient program is held three times weekly for a six week total length of stay. Each of the three days a week will consist of three one-hour group therapy sessions conducted via a secure virtual meeting.

These meetings will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Group sizes will consist of a maximum of 10 patients who share similar stressors/challenges. Each session will be facilitated by one of our licensed clinicians and will vary from a combination of process groups, treatment assignment presentations and psychoeducation.

Treatment modalities consist of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques to encourage the development/utilization of healthy skills for managing intense emotions and stressors.

How to get started

Schedule an intake assessment with one of our licensed therapists. During this assessment, you will be encouraged to share your motivations for treatment and explore whether or not a virtual evening IOP is the best option for you.

What to expect after my assessment

Shortly after your assessment, you can anticipate a call from a member of our treatment team to walk you through navigating joining virtual meetings, introduce you to all members of your new treatment team (therapist, nurse and psychiatrist) and provide you with a welcome packet.
