Our commitment is to help patients remain connected to their community, all while providing the education and support they need to decrease the likelihood of relapse and hospitalization. The Outpatient Treatment Programming at River Oaks Hospital offers structured treatment programs that help patients reach these goals. Our outpatient treatment programs stabilize and treat patients for an extended period of time, three to five times per week.
Clinicians work to provide patients with concrete and practical tools that will enhance their levels of independence and self-esteem while decreasing the likelihood of an inpatient admission. We offer interventions for high-functioning adults that focus on stress management, grief resolution, medication management, as well as coping and problem-solving ability. In addition, we encourage family involvement in the treatment process and invite family members to participate in our Family Day, which is offered biweekly on Wednesdays.
Addictions are recognized as chronic and progressive processes that must be met with ongoing support and education. Clinicians recognize the importance of providing chemically dependent patients with an intense level of care in order to secure sobriety while working towards rehabilitation and connection to a support system in the community. Our partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs are committed to a 12-step approach to recovery and focuses on treating the whole patient, including any co-existing mental health problems.
