Recovery to Renewal is the treatment program at River Oaks Hospital that is committed to supporting the men and women of our nation’s military who are seeking recovery from substance abuse and mental health issues. It utilizes an effective detoxification service and is designed to address the unique needs of the military. Service members can attend this program geared towards military-specific mental health issues for up to 28 days.
River Oaks has taken steps to ensure that our service men and women are kept in a routine environment that helps to keep them connected to life on their base. Time in the gym is a scheduled part of therapy, and we have provided a workout area consisting of cardio equipment, weights, and resistance machines.
Because River Oaks offers a variety of specialty mental health programs, some of the military members we treat are referred to The New Orleans Institute for specialized treatment of trauma-related disorders.
Kathy Lammert, LPC, LMFT is the Military Program Coordinator and Lead Therapist for the program. Ms. Lammert not only works with the military members on an individual and group level, but she is the key connection to the commanding officers on the base who reach out to us for their recovery needs.
TRICARE approval in all programs allows us to truly be an asset to our military bases, officers, soldiers, and family members.
Recovery to Renewal is utilized by most of the bases in Louisiana as well as the Gulf Coast, but our services are open to any service member across the country in need of treatment for any disorder we specialize in.
